I'm currently working as a consultant focusing on social and community innovation; creating ideas, knowledge and initiatives to help solve complex problems in new ways. I do this by providing bespoke support, including employee engagement to help clients design, develop and deliver new ideas, whilst consolidating existing services.
I have developed programmes that have received grant funding from trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, public sector agencies and corporations. In my role as a National Development Lead for a charity organisation I fundraised from a wide variety of sources to deliver local, national and international support and resource services for social entrepreneurs. In addition, to this I have developed and fundraised funds and resources for a variety for local organisations to deliver their strategic aims in arts, community development, sport and education; from a variety of funders such as Children in Need, Big Lottery, Barrow Cadbury Trust, Local Network Fund, Arts Council and others. My work included planning and developing successful fundraising strategies and action plans to raise money, but also resources such as IT equipment, furniture and food. I have also been involved in planning and undertaking voluntary sector project evaluations, in particular Awards For All and Heritage and Lottery Fund.
I hope to bring a combination of passion and energy to the Board along with business-like discipline, innovation, and determination. I can also provide strategic leadership and influence, through my regional organisational and business experience within the social entrepreneurship sector.
