ASUK Grants
ASUK makes grants to support activities and equipment to support people diagnosed with Alström Syndrome but recognises that their families may need financial support too.
The Board is mindful of the added financial burden that families experience when supporting someone with a disability and/or long-term health condition.
ASUK have a number of prioritise when giving grants in 2025-2026, these are set-out below:
- Health and Wellbeing
Improvements to health and well-being, such as exercise equipment - Independence
Developing independence, such as daily living equipment - Cost of Living
Support during times of financial hardship, such as a cash contribution or an essential appliance - Funeral Support
Contribution to funeral costs
In 2025-26 ASUK is providing an ‘Activities Fund’ which we are developing alongside the community.
The Activities Fund is funding set aside by the ASUK Board of Trustees to provide opportunities for the AS community to come together, have fun, take part in peer-to-peer support and build friendships.
We will consult with the AS community and invite people to share their thoughts and ideas about any activities they would like to take part in.
